Description

This is Verve Records MG V-8022, Ray Brown Bass Hit, a yellow, deep groove, trumpet label, original mono issue of this beautiful, under-rated session featuring arrangements by Marty Paich and solos by Jimmy Giuffre, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Herb Ellis, Jimmy Rowles, and others. The record is in VG++ condition, showing only a few light marks, which do not effect the play. The record plays quietly throughout. The cover shows light shelf wear and a split top seam, but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent as well, but have light spindle marks, and "last" stickers. The records have been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. An excellent, collectors grade copy of this wonderful set.
