Disc Jockey 1749 and 17525, (French issue)
I’m in the process of selling singles from my own private collection which I built up between the late 1960s and the mid-1980s. All the records I am parting with are either duplicates or records that I’m guessing may have some value but which I don’t think I am likely to play again.
Ray Barretto (1929 – 2006), born in New York but of Puerto Rican descent, was a pioneer of the latin jazz style. If you are not familiar with his work, it is worth saying that these two tracks are both danceable soul stompers pitched somewhere between Junior Walker and James Brown but with an unmistakeable latin sound on top. You can easily find both tracks online if you want to check them out.
These are both original French issues in their original picture sleeves. Both sleeves are intact and in nice, bright condition although both have the original owner’s name in pen (to the front and back in the case of “Hard Hands” and to the back only in the case of “Together”). Both records are in very good condition with just surface marks. Both play perfectly well.
Edition originale. Bon état, dans pochettes originales.
