Description
Original 1968 mono pressing of Acid by Ray Barretto, released on Fania Records LP 346 with the original gold label. A landmark in Latin soul and boogaloo history, blending funky rhythms, descarga energy, and classic New York guaguancó.
Includes standout vocals from Adalberto Santiago and Pete Bonet, arrangements with fiery trumpet work by Rene Lopez and Roberto Rodriguez, and production by Harvey Averne and Jerry Masucci. This is the true mono edition, not a later reissue or stereo variant. Designed by the legendary Izzy Sanabria, with cover photo by Marty Topp.
