Condition Sleeve:
Please see photos Shiny sleeve (front) with light ringwear some small patches of staining (dirt) and minor dents to corners (all photographed) Back of sleeve has has ring wear on opening edge side and writing - side two has been written over in green  and red pen The edges have a bit of grime- dirt build up from 50 years of storage. There are no splits or tears and printing on spine is perfectly crisp.

Condition Record: 
There is only recorded sound on side 1 label is white Columbia test pressing Writing on label - discreet in ball point pen says “Tombeau etc” please see photograph

VISUALLY GRADED EX - (EX MINUS) 
the surface of the record is pretty clean - very light scuffing viewed at an angle under light  and a 2cm scuff transversing the last track at an angle. none of these light marks sound.  There is some dust small finger print at end of side.  The rcord has been in storage for many years and would no doubt benefit from a professional clean.

SOUND QUALITY:  GRADED VG+  Sound is crisp, undistorted with light background noise noticeable in  quiet passages.

This is a Test Pressing / one sided- so the reverse side has no sound - the surface is clean but there is some light pitting in the surface  Label is also clean - please see photos.

The inner sleeve has some writing on top right corner

Very rare one sided test pressing that is  53 years old


 
 


The lps I sell are generally graded visually. I inspect each record
carefully and I play grade lps if I have reason to believe any marks will sound.
I aim to grade conservatively and will add more details to the description of the condition of the lp if I think it’s warranted. I usually give separate grades for the sleeve and the record itself.

GRADING SCALE : Grading may be fine tuned by adding  (+), or (-)
MINT (M) / Still Sealed (S/S)......The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The jacket and any extra items are in perfect condition.
 NEAR MINT (N/M)......The record is used but hardly or never played. The jacket is in near perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX) ......The record shows minor signs of having been played but there is negligible loss in sound quality. The jacket may have slight wear or very light creasing. ?
VERY GOOD (VG) ......The record has been played many times but shows no significant deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the jacket, without any major defects, is acceptable. ?
