Description
A rare private pressing "Ashton Sound '74" by the Ashton-on-Ribble High School Music Society. This is a recording made by amateur musicians. The recording is very basic but charming. I think the best song on the record is "Thomas the Rhymer" nicely sung with some fuzz guitar. This is another rarity. It has a Deroy matrix number side 1 DER 1131 A, side 2 DER 1131 B.
The cover is very much a home made affair. it has split at top and bottom but overall is in good condition (see photos). The record has surface marks on both sides. I have played it a couple of times and it has some clicks and some crackles but plays through and sounds clear. In conclusion I am going to grade the record as "Good" condition. The record comes with a set of inserts detailing the songs and performers. these are in very good condition (see photos).
