Rare Vinyl LP Vintage 1964 THE HORNETS Big Drag Boats USA LST-7364. Album cover and Record are in good condition being they are almost 60 years old. Very rare and hard to find

Hornets were popular namesakes for instrumental groups. The most well known of these groups released two albums on Liberty in 1964. If you believe the cover of Motorcycles U.S.A., which asserts that “the most exciting sounds around are those of cycles and songs about cycles,” then you will wheelie enjoy the album. Songs such as “On the Track,” “The Fastest Throttle,” and “Bike Talk” add motorcycle sound Effects. Their second effort was Big Drag Boats USA, which I assume refers to racing. Songs such as “Roostertail,” “Prop Away,” and “Lake Twister” were utilizing more keyboards and boat engine sounds. Written by Jerry Cole and Produced by Jerry Capehart.
