( This item was previously listed about a week ago but I had listed it incorrectly regarding payment details, therefore had to cancel many auctions & a lot of fuss getting payments for items that had already ended, thus several items now re-listed! )

What we have here is a rare piece of Rock 'N' Roll history!
It's a Factory Sample White Label Press.
What that means is we have 2 vinyl Lp's each pressed on 1 side only, 1 record having 'Side 1' + the reverse blank/non pressed, the other having 'Side 2' + the reverse blank/non pressed.
I've tried to research this in greater detail but as yet have not managed to track down a date for this item but is definately 50's/60's era.
Even the etched serial number/code on the vinyl itself just outside of the labelled area gives no clue!
The etched marks are :
AYL-1024-2B ( on the disc marked 'Side 1' )
AYL- 1025-1B ( on the disc marked 'Side 2' )
Both of these numbers/codes are also ink stamped on the labels with a further ink stamp of :-
HA-S 2138 ( on both of them )
Side 1 also has the words JERRY LEE LEWIS ink stamped below the number/code.
Side 2 has the words SELECTION + then underneath that JERRY LEE LEWIS all ink stamped.
The 'SIDE No' 1' & 'SIDE No' 2' respectively are both hand written in blue ink.
Both labels state :-
Made In England / 33 1/2 / Long Playing /
Factory Sample / Not For Sale
all printed at the top of the labels with a section of text outlined in a box stating :-
NOTICE - This Pressing is not neccessarily representative of the finished record and most not be used for review purposes.
The 'Side 1' disc also has Don't Be Cruel' hand written in blue ink + just beneath that you can see someone has started to write 'On The Buy...' but then crossed it out.
I'm guessing because the were intending on writing all songs on the label but then changed their mind?!?!
The Songs are as follows :-
Side 1
Don't Be Cruel / Good Night Irene / Put Me Down It All Depends / Ubangi Stomp / So Homely All The Time
Side 2
On The Buyou/I'm A Fool For You/High School Confidential When The Saint's / Match Box / It'll Be Me
These songs are not marked on the records at all but are on a hand written piece of paper where someone has obviously listened to the records + noted down the songs.
