"This album is a testament to just how intensely Guided By Voices has moved, influenced and filled our lives with the sounds of dirty bars, dusty roads and drunken hearts. Through the lo-fi aesthetic and high brow lyrical magic we have all been taken on a journey through the lives of the men who created these songs. Faces rocked and fingers bleeding, now we all get to share in the passion and chaos that is the music of Guided By Voices. Each giving our own interpretation or simply trying to do the songs justice, we have created what we feel to be a collection of bad=ass rock songs and raw serenades.
Ranging from the super lo-fi (Lou Barlow recorded on a walkman...I think) to full studio arrangements, we tried to represent all the faces of GBV. Info on recording techniques and stories behind why the artists wanted to be involved and how GBV has influenced them can be found on www.NoMoreFakeLabels.com."
