Description
Oscar Peterson Signed and dedicated Double Album "The History of an artist". Rare.
My father ran a handmade shoe shop in Jermyn Street London. He got to know Oscar Peterson well, when he became a repeat customer they both got on well and later were on first name terms. My father asked Oscar to sign at this point they were very friendly, if still a bit formal.
The Album This album is the second album that my father asked Oscar to sign (I also have a signed single album and Christmas card too, please see my other listing). Oscar ordered hand made shoes (made to his own handmade last), when came back to pick them up, he dedicated the Album to my father with thanks. The hand written text reads:
"To Mr Riddle, Sincerest Thanks! Oscar Peterson" it is written in the typical flourished manner, in a black felt pen. It has faded slightly and is grey/black rather than fully black. I guarantee it is genuine.
The LPs records inside are both in excellent condition (they look unplayed to me) one is in a fully printed sleeve, the other more plain. Please see all pictures for detail condition.

The Album with be securely packed in cardboard and sent to fit with UK Small Parcel Size - approx 35cm x 35cm x 5cm
