Spirit Of Memphis Quartet

Original and rare U.S. vinyl LP on the early black and silver King label. The Spirit Of Memphis Quartet was the sixth record in a series of 7 gospel LPs released by King during this period and features 15 excellent songs. Like the 45s put out by this group, the LP is very hard to find and is an excellent example of the Quartet during their prime.
The high gloss vinyl LP is just shy of being VG++ with hairline scuffs and light thin scratch marks that like most King LPs from this time do not affect the clean playback. The playback is very clean with light noise here and there but no loud pops, ticks or other problems and no deep scratch marks or needle digs. The labels are excellent with a small orange "S in a box" (inspection label?) stamped on each side. A faint similar stamp can be found on the back cover. The cover is VG+ with a great clean front cover graphics that do not shpw any wear. Unfortunately, the top seam is partially split and the bottom seam is completely split. The spine is fully intact with no splits. There is light brown tape residue staining on the top and left of the back cover but no traces of the tape or any residue is on the surface cover. An overall nice LP with many, many plays left to offer.
