Description
RARE ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING RCA LIVING STEREO 2313 SHADED DOG LABEL FROM 1960
STUNNING SOUND AWFUL DYNAMICS!
SOLTI - ROYAL OPERA HOUSE ORCHESTRA COVENT GARDEN (ROHCG) - DIVERSE OVERTURES, PRELUDES (VERDI, ROSSINI ETC)
Codes in dead wax:
side 1 9S stamper - A3 matrice - I (Indianapolies pressing)
side 2 1S stamper - A2 matrice - I (Indianapolies pressing)
Record plays fine on both sides with some vinyl noise and a few tics and pops but overall very nice collectors item, side 1 EX+, side 2 EX+
Nice cover with gatefold booklet, very good condition, no real splits and shelfware signs on cover, hence very good collector's condition. Orginal inner sleeve.
I listen to the record before grading, both sides, no spot listening, both sides are judged for audio quality, flaws et al. All records cleaned 2-3 times (Kuzma washing machine) before listening starts, Nagaoka or MFSL rice paper sleeves for all records when put back into cover. Playback gear: Garrard 401, Ortofon AS-212 tonearm, Shure V15-III cartridge.
Record noise could get lower when more washing is done.
No return, private sale. But bid with confidence, my grading is conservative. Above all, no nonsense MINT gradings applied to records which are 50+ years old and as noisy as Mercuries and RCA generally used to be throughout the series.
Thanks for bidding!
