Description

Here’s a very rare psych LP! This is an original pressing of “Heaven Was Blue” by Rick Saucedo, as featured in the book “Acid Archives”. If you’re not familiar with the story behind this LP… Saucedo was an Elvis impersonator. When Elvis died, Saucedo decided to “do his own thing” on record, creating his own music, even spending some time writing music in a graveyard. The result was this home-brewed psych masterpiece that sounds much more like 1968 than 1978. The opening tune “Reality” is fantastic. The title song (which occupies the whole B side of the album) is supposedly an extended depiction of an acid trip. Saucedo is still around, and apparently is still available for events and venues as a Presley impersonator. Wonder if he ever gets any requests for this stuff? This LP has been reissued for the collectors’ market several times. This is an original pressing from 1978 on the Reality Records label. The vinyl is the lower end of VG+, no scratches I can see, just some general scuff lines. It plays great! The cover has some rub and edge wear.
