Description
I am selling the highly collectible Persian Risk single, Calling For You, with Chase The Dragon as the b-side. The record code for the single is SRTS 81 CUS 1146, and is one of a limited number of copies made.
The single was released in 1981, and Persian Risk were widely considered to be the next big thing in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Sadly, this did not quite come to fruition, but two members of the band went on to continue their career in rock and metal. Carl Sentance went on to play with Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath, and Phil Campbell since became one of the guitarists for Motorhead.
The record itself is in very good condition, with the a-side in excellent condition. There is one small scratch on the b-side, but this does not affect the quality of the record when played. The sleeve is the original sleeve, and shows a little sign of wear. The edges are a little frayed, and the bottom left hand corner is a little creased.
I also have some press cuttings about Persian Risk, from 1981 at the time of the release of this single. There are 3 cuttings, one a picture of the band, one a small (positive) review of the single, and one a review of a live gig by Persian Risk in East Berlin and a session for CBC, a Welsh radio station.
I am open to bids from anywhere in the world, but you will need to contact me first to get an estimate for postage for locations outside of the UK. Ebay doesn't allow me to put individual prices for non UK countries, so you must contact me about postage costs, as it will be more than the flat rate eBay allows me to have, as that is for standard UK only delivery. Given the value of the record, it would probably be better to send it recorded delivery, so again please mail me if you win and you do want recorded delivery as I can then invoice you the extra charge. When the item is posted I shall get proof of postage for you.
This is an excellent single, and would make a great addition to any record collection.
