Up for auction is this super rare Tennessee tiny label rockabilly record, Billy Smith-Tell Me Baby b/w . This is NOT the popular reissue that came out in the late 70's/early 80's. The original RCA pressing plant matrix stamp appears in the dead wax. The "Tell Me Baby side has J80W 4511 in the dead wax and the Baby Please Come Home side has J80W 4510 in the dead wax. This 1958 45 record from Red Hed Records is the poster child for Goldmine's G rating. It plays all the way through on both sides without skipping but there is significant surface noise heard throughout both sides. The label as well has signs of wear as shown in the photos. Lastly. There is a straight line bend in the side of the record as shown in the photos. This does not effect play. There is no original sleeve. All that said, this is a really neat super rare find from mid century middle America's fledgling rockabilly scene. Happy rocking.
