Description

Tonight I am listing some original release records that where my mothers when she was a teen.  I have cleaned and sleeved them all.  I have graded them all using goldmine standards.  This is The Beatles Introducing... The Beatles. This album was listed last week but I had so many questions I ended it and did a ton of research.  I also took it to Bop Street Records in Ballard Wa. Voted one of the five best music stores in America by the Wall Street Journal.  I had Owner Dave Voorhees Authenticate and grade this item for me.  He has been open since 1974 and knows his stuff.  Then we did some research,  This is the rarest of all the stereo versions of this album.  Its Introducing ...The Beatles Version 2 Vee-Jay SR 1062.  Released Jan 27th 1964.  Its a black label with circular color band and Vee-Jay Oval logo that is a 45 size.  Vinyl itself has a manufacturer defect which is the pop in Please Please Me.  It does not have original inner sleeve.  The Outer Sleeve has some soiling and some minor chipping around 2 edges. Very minimal ringwear very strong seems no splits.

I want to thank everyone for all the interest.  I just played this album on my audio-technica at-lp 120. Side One plays great with no skipping or popping.  There is some minimal crackling between songs.  Side Two plays with no skips.  It does have 1 pop at the end of Please,Please Me and 2 or 3 pops at the end of Baby It's You.  Then just minimal crackling between songs.  A great playable album from 1964.  It actually plays  better than it looks.  As do most older albums.  I hope this helps all of you that have inquired about this item.

Just a quick note.  I have had a bunch of e-mails asking me why I raised my starting bid so much?  After a ton of research I found out how rare this item was.  The most recent price (2011) I could find on this album was $4200.  So I think my starting price is more than fair.  If you are even reading this you know how tough the LP is to find.  Thanks again for all the interest in this piece of history.
