VOS CANTU MONEMUS
WORDS NEVER SAID
Canticle Records ST 2441
Stereo, 1969
Extremely rare private pressing vinyl LP from Rockville, Maryland. It is said that only 200 copies of this record were ever produced. A wonderful example of an obscure, local late 1960s folk group, at once embracing the changing times and rebelling from the increasingly brash, loud rock music of their day.
From the back cover:
"Vos Catu Monemus is comprised of three talented young people of the folk era. Namely Lynne Hulse, with a lusty and lovely contralto voice; Mark Blankner and Glenn Meade, each soloist in their own right.
“The vocal blend and interpretation of their material is a joy to hear. Not only is all of their material on this album original, but their arrangements are beautifully tasteful.
“Instrumentally speaking, Mark and Glenn handle both the six and twelve string guitars effectively and with feeling.
“Last, but certainly not least, their religious songs are most inspiring and presented in a most enjoyable fashion.
“Vos Cantu Monemus, to us, means three talented, versatile, artistic performers."

The condition of this record seems to be very good; there are various pops and crackles throughout, but no skips or major blemishes. The cover has edge wear and other marks, but it appears to be in better condition than many of the previous copies of this title to be put up for sale online in the past (please see the pictures). Inner sleeve is plain black paper.
Will ship in a cardboard box specially made for mailing LPs. This is a rare opportunity to own a very sought-after folk LP!
