Description
Without question on the 5 rarest Angels related items ever. The Moonshine Jug and String Band formed in Adelaide in 1971 and pressed two singles before becoming the Keystone Angels in 1973, and then, in 1975, The Angels, the band that was to dominate and define the Australian pub rock scene for well over 30 years to come.
This record is the black label 4 track EP on the SPHERE label pressed in 1974. Far more scarce than the two track white lable 7" single (there are different tracks on each of the records) this is the Angels related item that is missing in 99% of Angels record collections.
Tracks are "Keep You On The Move", "On The Road Again", "Tell My Friends" and "Mad Mandy"
This item HAS BEEN PLAY TESTED. It plays throughout whithout skips, but with background crackle and the occasional pop, especially at the start of side two (see mark at bottom left corner in photo). There are numerous scuffs throughout which no doubt provide the background crackle mentioned above, and there is a somewhat larger scratch on the start of side two. Labels are generally sound, with scuffing around the edges. The label on side one has two small light spots as seen in the photo.
The photos show that this record is very much not in mint condition, however it can be inspected by apointment if you prefer. Inseection can be arranged in Seven Hills, Guildford or Liverpool NSW. I would say that this record is in pretty much the same condition as you would expect to find it IF YOU ARE EVER LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND ONE! It alomost never allears as a mint record, as is demonstrated by the two previous sales on Ebay (refer to listing numbers 310954130107 and 291126905575). Record comes with a plain white sleeve which may or may not be original.
