I've accumulated a nice stash of collectable, rare and oddball LP's of all kinds over the years and it's time to sell! Be sure to see my other auctions for more to be listed over the next week. I combine on shipping whenever possible.
For your consideration is this very rare copy of "Mary Wells - Love Songs to the Beatles". This is the first or very early UK MONO pressing from 1965 and has been preserved very well over the years. Early matrix numbers, singled-sided protective shrink, recorded in the USA, released in the UK. Take a look on youtube with keywords, "Mary Wells Beatles" and you'll have the privilege of hearing a few of the songs. This was never released on CD.
Mary Wells was one of the Beatles favorite singers and gave her permission to cover many of their hits at the time. Her soulful yet jazzy take on the songs is remarkable.
The record is in VG++ to Near Mint condition. Have to really look into the light to see any scratches. It plays perfectly with no skips or jumps.
Cover is also VG++ with minor wear, mainly to the opening edge...nothing significant. Original sleeve is also included.
Only one (UK, MONO) currently listed on eBay and a rare find. A must-have for your Beatles or Soul/Jazz collection. Packed and shipped with care (fully insured) to ensure safe arrival.
