Description

King Kurt - 7" single With hand painted sleeve!! Zulu Beat - Second edition - Green vinyl
This is a unique and one off cover painted by Maggot (from King Kurt) All the first and second editions had hand painted covers, each one unique. I was recently told by Paul Laventhol from the band that back in 1982 the band sat up till the early hours of the morning for many nights hand painting the covers whist drinking and eating chocolate cake to stay awake  (as seen in 3rd pic)
The first edition came with a hand painted and numbered pink cover and orange disc. The second edition came with a hand painted and numbered blue cover and green disc.
This is a second edition (number 1537) with an "Atom bomb" hand painted cover. The cover was painted and signed by Maggot.
I own 2 hand painted Zulu Beat singles and have decided to reluctantly sell this one.
You are not just buying a record but a piece of rare and unique art and a part of psychobilly history!
1982 Thin Sliced Records - TSR 2
Side A Zulu Beat
Side B  Rockin' Kurt
Cover is fully intact with no tears but a bit grubby in places (as seen in pic). Disc is in excellent condition.
There is no buy it now option, the auction will run for 10 days and the highest bidder gets it, good luck!!
I am happy to ship worldwide but the item will need to be sent insured (hence postage cost) I have weighed the record and worked out postage cost (including record mailer) using Special Delivery (UK) and Airsure for Europe and rest of the world.
- I only accept Paypal -
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
