*Rare* Juilliard Acetate Recording 1947 *HEAR IT*

-Auction is for 8 double sided records(pictured) recorded Saturday November 15 1947 at Juilliard School of Music in New York
-Please note that this is a INCOMPLETE set
-Records have been played one time only by me to record for this auction on a BSA record player using a correct 78RPM stylus
COMPLETE AUDIO OF ALL 8 RECORDS HERE
-I expierienced no skips during playback and suspect they have been played very little if any since 1947
-Listen to records in low bitrate format on links below(I am not an audio expert and used a very lossy format to transfer....see pic)
-This is a original LIVE acetate recording not like the many fake "acetate" "original" recordings commonly found.
-During live recording dual recorders were used due to limited recording time available on 78RPM. You will notice that each record has a number that is not consecutive with the number on its opposite side but is continued on a separate record due to live "hot swapping" between multiple recorders
-I bought these recordings as a investment but recent financial issues are causing me to sell.
-I bought this small record collection 5 years ago at a estate auction here in Eugene, Oregon. I am not a record collector but I was aware who Ernest Bloch was(he spent his last days in Agate Beach Oregon 80 miles from Eugene where the records were found. I know nothing of the deceased or how these recordings where acquired but I suspect due to geographic location of where I found the records and where Ernest Bloch spent his last days that these are most likely from his or his family's collection
-I also have a 6 sided studio recording of Ernest Bloch(himself) on piano recorded between 1925-1930 in San Francisco that I will be putting up for auction also

-I included a picture of a small chip on the edge so you can see the aluminum base. If you look closely at the labels you can see the 3 indexing holes surrounding the spindle hole that were used by the recording machine to firmly hold the acetate in place.
-This item is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early.
-Public availability is very rare for original recordings of this type as most are held in private collections or by institutions such as The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts(see link)
