HERBIE HANCOCK - Takin' Off BLUE NOTE Original USA VINYL Van Gelder Ear NY


Original Mono US pressing on Blue Note Records, 1962. New York USA to label. Back cover has 43 West 61st St. address. Vinyl run outs have Van Gelder stamped and Ear etched.

Vinyl is in VG+ condition (a few non feelable marks and scuffs, several paper lines under bright light).

PLAYTESTED - Side One plays great with no jumps, sticks, pops or clicks. Just mild crackle noticeable in the dead wax and very occasionally during the quieter parts. Side Two plays well with no jumps or sticks. Mild surface crackle noticeable in the dead wax and occasionally during the quieter passages. There are 5 or so soft clicks in the dead wax between Track 1 and Track 2. There are several soft clicks during the last track. Surface crackle a bit more noticeable during this track due to the quieter nature of the tune. Still a very enjoyable listen and might improve with a pro clean.

Labels are VG+ with a few spindle marks and a foxing spot to Side One.

Inner is VG with mild creasing and foxing spots.

Sleeve is VG to VG+ (grubby marks, foxing spots to back, light lift of paste over to back top corner, a few tiny tears to paste over, mild shelf wear).
