We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 22+,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. - When it comes unadulterated '70’s macho rock, no one can really top Australia’s Buffalo.
Formed by former blues vocalist Dave Tice in Sydney in the summer of 1971, the band bellowed out both a burly, killer hardrock sound and an intentionally misogynist ambiance across the five albums they recorded for the highly collectible and lauded imprint, Vertigo.
- Their always hard to find third album, ‘Only Want You for Your Body’ – was released in June 1974 with a cover image of an overweight, scantily clad woman on a torture table and song titles such as ‘I’m a Skirt Lifter, Not a Shirt Raiser’ – truly defines their horny ‘n’ hairy vibe.
The aforementioned ‘I’m A Skirt Lifter, Not A Shirt Raiser’ opens up the album with a raucous explosion. The band is locked into a driving rhythm led by monster drummer Jimmy Economou while Tice delivers his gravely vocals with all the grace of a Sherman tank. Furthermore ‘Dune Messiah’, is a heavy, Black Sabbath-at-a-snail’s-pace and crushing.
No less after that, John Baxter delivers some seriously hammeringly hard guitar on tracks such as ‘What’s Going On’ and ‘Kings Cross Ladies,’ and it makes you wonder if some of those New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands might have had a copy of this record hidden away in their record collections and bit-off a riff or two from "the man" Baxter.
‘Only Want You for Your Body’ remains one of those special pieces of the '70’s hard rock puzzle; one that is equally obscure as it is seminal. - Do yourself a favor and listen to ‘Only Want You for Your Body’ on youtube.
