Description

Very rare US import gatefold double album of the soundtrack to Fred Zinnemann's award winning 1966 film of ‘A Man For All Seasons’, from the play by Robert Bolt. Music by Georges Delerue.
The movie starred Paul Scofield, who had played Thomas More in the West End stage premiere, alongside Wendy Hiller, Robert Shaw, Orson Welles and Susannah York. Also appearing are Nigel Davenport, Leo McKern, Corin Redgrave and, in one of his earliest screen roles, John Hurt.

Georges Delerue ?– A Man For All Seasons (An Original Soundtrack Recording) (1967)

Condition: Vinyls: VG-EX. Both sides of each record look superbly clean on visual inspection. No obvious signs of wear, hairlines or scratches. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is great. Some light static in some places but the vocals and music are bright. Outer sleeve (cover): VG. Colours are bright and clean. Fantastic unlaminated thick card gatefold. Slight yellowing around edge. Minor disc ring outline. Two corners lightly nicked, two have mild buckling. Edges and spine are clean and unscuffed. Sticker residue on front in bottom right corner and light nicks to apertures. Back cover has a few dark marks at top and round edges but nothing major. Inner glossy gate is clean with no obvious marks beyond some light foxing in top right. Superb overall. Could be hard to find a better example.
Inner Sleeves: EX. Original. Yellowed white poly-lined thick paper with RCA Victor logo on one side and squared corners. Minor crimping but clean and intact.

ITEM CONDITION - items are graded according to Record Collector definitions - see below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
