Description
I am selling some of my collection of classical records most of which are high grade.
This one is the famous and dynamic Antal Dorati interpretation of The Rite of Spring with the Minneapolis Symphony from 1960. It is a first stereo pressing on the UK EMI Mercury Olympian label.
The matrix numbers are SR90253A-EFR and SR90253B-EFR. The early stampers are 1A and 1P
The vinyl has been played just a few times with no scratches and lovely glossy vinyl. It plays beautifully. There are just one or two faint spindle marks on the excellent clean labels. The fold-back sleeve is EX+, just SLIGHTLY grubby on the rear cover with no yellowing . The original inner sleeve is EX: nice and crisp with just a little yellowing and creasing.
This is a superb audiophile and collector's copy: but if you don't agree you may return it for a full refund.
Look out for more rare recordings in high grade which I am disposing of. All are part of a personal collection of 1950s,1960s and early 1970s Classical LPs ; most are in excellent or better condition; including several rarities and first pressings, mainly Decca SXLs, EMI ASDs, Angel, and Mercury Living Presence Stereo: De Vito, Kertesz, Oistrakh, Beecham etc. I am happy to receive wants lists if there is something you are particularly looking for.
I will be listing numbers of them individually throughout the next two weeks or so. So please review my other listings from time to time. They must go and are sold without reserve.
I grade according to Record Collector Magazine standards and I think you will like these recordings as much as I do; but if you don't, and you are not completely satisfied then everything is returnable.
