RECORD GRADING We grade conservatively, and aim to describe the records accurately. We grade visually according to Goldmine standards, with the addition of an Excellent (VG++ or E)grade for the hazy grey area between Near Mint and VG+. This grade applies to records with one minor flaw that makes it no longer Near Mint, but still above VG+. Check our feedback for recommendations. Please call or email with questions. GONER RECORDS Hello and welcome to our auctions! ELVIS PRESLEY That's All Right / Blue Moon of Kentucky (Sun 209) Original Elvis Sun singles are really hard to find in any kind of condition - this is the hardest. The original first pressing of the first Elvis single on Sun - with the 209 on the left side of the label and upside down on the Blue Moon side. It also reads "Peer BMI" above the number, instead of "Wabash Peer." They fixed this quickly - so when this record does turn up it usually has the number on the left side of the label without the misprint or (more often) underneath "Scotty and Bill" at the bottom of the label. It's also in great shape - the cleanest Elvis Sun single we've had come into the shop. It plays through well with no skips or pops - although it does have the same audible background noise typical with early Sun records. Matrix: U-128-45 72 and U-129-45 72 Three push-marks on each label. Condition: A very nice VG+, sticker on label, otherwise the labels are perfect. Vinyl has superficial sleeve scuffs and light hairlines, still has some original gloss. Check audio clips for yourself. All clips recorded directly from the vinyl, no effects added. It's not ideal (it really magnifies minor defects and adds distortion that often are not audible in regular playback) but should give you a general idea of play condition of the record. We don't normally do reserves, but there is a reasonable one on this item. NOTE: We will NOT ship this First Class International - will need to be shipped Priority Mail International or Express Mail so it is trackable.
