Description
This is a fantastic Dutch jazz lp by The Diamond Five entitled Amsterdam Blues, Highlights from the 60’s on the Philips label from 1978. The album is basically a collection of recordings from 1959, 1961 and 1962 that were issued at the time as 3 separate EP’s. The album comes from the personal collection of bassplayer Jaques Schols and this was his last copy. I aquired it while working with him. He signed it on the inside of the sleeve. The album features Cees Slinger (piano), Harry Verbeke (tenor sax), Cees Smal (trumpet), Jacques Schols (bass) and John Engels (drums). Side 1: Diamondate, Alone Together, Lita’s Dance, Jordu. Side 2: Amsterdam Blues, Bohemia After Dark, You And The Night And The Music, L.M.R. Condition of the vinyl: VG++ Condition of the cover: VG+/ VG++ (some wear on seams, ringwear).
