This is a fantastic Dutch jazz lp by The Diamond Five entitled Amsterdam Blues, Highlights From The 60’s on the Philips label (6440 321 stereo) from 1978.The album is a collection of recordings from 1959, 1961 and 1962 that were issued at the time as 3 separate EP’s. Those Ep’s are almost impossible to find now and this lp is VERY RARE NOWADAYS ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION!!!!!
The album features Cees Slinger (piano), Harry Verbeke (tenor sax), Cees Smal (trumpet), Jacques Schols (bass) and John Engels (drums).
Side 1: Diamondate, Alone Together, Lita’s Dance, Jordu.
Side 2: Amsterdam Blues, Bohemia After Dark, You And The Night And The Music, L.M.R.
Grading system
SS Still Sealed - Never opened.
M- Mint Minus - a near perfect, probably unplayed record.
EX Excellent - close to like new with only superficial signs of use that dont affect play.
VG+ Very Good Plus - the record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little deterioration in sound quality.
VG Very Good - a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
VG- Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.
