Description

This is the VERY RARE, ORIGINAL Dutch 1977 release of The Damned's "Don't Cry Wolf" / "One Way Love" 7" single on Scramble records (by way of Stiff Records) on black vinyl. This is NOT the bootleg on blue vinyl that appeared within the last few years. The original, with the Dave Vanian picture sleeve that was only on the Dutch release of the single, is very hard to come by (which explains why someone pressed a bootleg version). The vinyl is in excellent condition. The sleeve has some wear which I have tried to represent very well in the photographs, including a VERY tiny tear at the top of one side (both sides of the sleeve feature the same image). The sleeve was lit to show you all the signs of wear rather so that you know about the wrinkles and indentations before bidding. I take good care of my vinyl and this is probably in exactly the same shape as when I purchased it over 20 years ago.

I will ship this single to the USA only so please do not bid if you expect to have it shipped elsewhere.

Elsewhere on eBay, I will be auctioning off the rare Belgian yellow vinyl edition of the "Don't Cry Wolf" single (with a completely different sleeve) as well as selling off most of my Damned and other rare punk collection in the hours, days and weeks ahead so please check back if you're interested. I'll be posting rare and signed items by many of the original instigators of the punk revolution, as well as original, signed artwork by Knox of The Vibrators (check out his oil painting of Sid Vicious, up for auction now), original artwork by Maila "Vampira" Nurmi, signed Ramones and Sex Pistols items, and rarities from other legendary artists and musicians.
