Rare Calypso 78 Vitadisc TC163 Dictator Spitfire She She Band E.


Vitadisc were a Trinidad based label set up by Vital Angel in 1954 after the demise of SaGomes records.

They released Calypso, Steel Pan and Jazz. The label issued 78rpm shellac singles originally and then vinyl LPs and 45rpm singles and EPs. Records were pressed in England, and shipped over to Trinidad for sale. At the time they were only licensed for sale in Trinidad, although many found their way elsewhere.
The 78s are as rare as hens teeth and rarely come to sale.
Here we have a split 78 with Dictator and Spitfire.

The 78 is in beautiful E condition and plays wonderfully. It comes housed in a plain jacket.
