BLUESOLOGY (Elton John) - Rare first ever single VG + condition
This auction is for the Rare Fontana 1965 first single by Bluesology/ (featuring Elton John). Fontana TF 594 Come Back, Baby (Dwight) / Times Getting Tougher Than Tough (Witherspoon)
BLUESOLOGY – Middlesex based group Bluesology were formed in 1964, and comprised Rex Bishop (bass), Stuart Brown (guitar / vocals), Reg Dwight (Later Elton John, keyboards), and Mick Inkpen (drums).
A blues and R&B based band, they backed a lot of visiting American singers before becoming Long John Baldry’s regular backing group in the mid 60s during the period between him leaving Steampacket, and becoming a solo balladeer.
Bluesology only recorded a few singles including – ‘Come back baby' in 1965 a Reg Dwight production. Rare Pre-Elton John
Dwight, of course, later changed his name to Elton John and went on to achieve fame worldwide, while Stuart Brown later joined Cochise.
This is the Rare first pressing valued in the Record Collector Price Guide at £300+.
