Rare Bird, 'Somebody's Watching'.Original UK Polydor stereo press LP.
Formed in London in late 1969, Rare Bird's music was based on the principle of keyboard dominated progressive rock, shunning the use of guitars. Releasing five albums in total, they never achieved commercial success in the UK. This is their fourth LP, with the A//2 B//2 matrices, earliest 1-1-2 1-1-1 stampers of the very first presses. The matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear & some storage rubbing on the rear cover, with some light rubbing on the inner cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain inner is intact & in EX condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines visible under bright light on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of one or two faint spindle markings on either side. The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, clear & punchy listen! The matrix nos. are; 2383211, A//2 stamper 1-1-2, B//2 stamper 1-1-1. This is one of the very first copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1973 UK stereo issue of this album!
All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems!! All grades are those used in the Record Collector Guide. All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2 KG!,
Will post to Europe (including all EU countries & Russia, Finland, Sweden, etc.) and Rest of the World (USA, Japan, Australia, Korea etc.), but airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to weight restrictions.
