Super Rare Bauhaus Fan Club Single
Sanity Assassin and Spirit in the Sky
1983
'Sanity Assassin' was recorded at Rockfield Studio, Monmouth in April 1983 and 'Spirit In The Sky' was recorded at Morgan Studios, London on 28 January 1982.
The single came without printed labels and in a plain black sleeve with only credits on the reverse
Only 325 copies of this single were pressed to be sent out as a present to the fan club members who had paid their subscription before the band split up. From this very limited issue apparently 50 copies were inadvertently thrown away during an office clearout
I have owned this single since 1983, received as a gift from a then boyfriend who worked at Beggars Banquet at the time it was played approximatley half a dozen times and has always been kept in a plastic sleeve so is in excellent condition
