Rare 78rpm record by "The Divine Sarah" - Sarah Bernhardt ( labeled here as Sara Bernhardt ) Aeolian Vocalion record 22035 . Recorded ca. January 1918 during a New York tour. Madame Bernhardt did not make many recordings, the others being earlier. . . Bernhardt was 74 years old when this - her last record - was made, as she was approaching the end of her fabulous career. . . She performs: "Priere Pour Nos Enemies" (Prayer For Our Enemies) - This WAS during World War I "L'Etoile Dans La Nuit" (The Star In The Night) Condition is about E- on this 10-inch vertically recorded record. (often difficult to grade these early verticals, but has all appearances as described) When was the last time you saw a Sarah Bernhardt record ?!?
