Up for bid today is this incredibly rare Northern Soul record that is highly sought after by many. It has been repressed on the Kent label with another wonderful song on the flip, but this is your opportunity (and maybe only time ever) to obtain an original for your own collection. This is a much fabled record from the Anthony Renfro collection as he was the original producer of this magnificent slab of Soul. Guessed to be from 1966 this one is absolutely killer on both sides (it's a shame that they aren't also playing the flip which is just as good). This is a beautiful copy that was personally found in a small out of the way antique store in South Carolina. It has a visual scratch that runs the entire length of the vinyl on the "Handwriting" side, but does not detract from the record at all. There are a number of other minor scuffs and scratches on both sides. Please take a moment to listen to the sound clips as they are taken directly from both sides of the record to show exactly how good this thing sounds. The labels are pretty clean with some very minor label wear around the outer edges and a "DE" marked in pen on the "Girl" side of the record. There is no reserve on this auction but if it does not reach around $4000 we will pull it as it is simply too hard to find. We will not be ending this auction early so please don't ask.
