Here I have for sale two classic Burt Reynolds film soundtrack albums from the mid-1970s:

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
Vinyl – EX-M. Clean on visual inspection. Plays superbly with wonderful clarity.
Cover – VG-EX. Still in original shrinkwrap though unsealed. Shrink-wrap has torn in a few places, exposing the cover to some minor corner/edge wear; delete tab cutout on top right edge. Colours are unfaded with no tears. Cover promo sticker advertising Liza Minnelli and Bessie Smith is unaffected; the reverse side exhibits minor disc showthrough outline.
Sleeve – VG. Original Arista sleeve. Clean and intact. Minor creasing/crimping/folding.

About the film:
Lucky Lady is a 1975 American film directed by Stanley Donen and starring Gene Hackman, Liza Minnelli and Burt Reynolds, with Robby Benson. Its story takes place during Prohibition in the United States in the year 1930.

Plot: During the Prohibition era, a young widow, Claire, gets involved in liquor smuggling and romance with two men, Walker and Kibby, off the San Diego coast. Organized crime controls bootlegging back east and wants to do the same here, so a hit man named McTeague is sent to deal with these amateur crooks, as is the Coast Guard, leading to various battles at sea.

The writers wanted Steven Spielberg to direct and he was interested but had made a commitment to do Jaws.

Vinyl – G. A few long light scratches on both sides; otherwise clean on visual inspection. Plays ok with some distortion, clicks/pops.
Cover - G. Minor corner and edge wear; 1cm tear on bottom edge. Sticker residue on top right of front. Disc showthrough outline. Marking / mottling evident on front and reverse, particularly at top by film logo and bottom edge. However, colours of main artwork remain bright and unfaded. Intact.
Sleeve – EX. Original MCA sleeve. Clean and intact. Minor crimping/folding.

About the film:
Smokey and the Bandit was a smash hit at the box office. Bankrolled with an original budget of $5.3 million (cut to $4.3 million two days before initial production), the film grossed $126,737,428 in North America,making it the fourth-highest-grossing movie of 1977. The worldwide gross is estimated at over $300 million.



About the soundtrack:
The theme music, "East Bound and Down", was sung and co-written by Reed (credited under his birth name, Jerry Hubbard) and Dick Feller. It became Reed's signature song and is found on multiple albums, including Country Legends and his live album Jerry Reed: Live Still.

In 1991 it was arranged for orchestra by Crafton Beck and recorded by Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra for their album Down on the Farm. Several other groups, such as US rock band Tonic, have also covered it.

Reed also penned and performed the song for the opening credits, entitled "The Legend", which tells of some of The Bandit's escapades prior to the events of the film, and the ballad "The Bandit", which features in several versions in the movie and on the soundtrack.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
