Description

Up for auction is a very rare private press 1981 Funk/Jazz LP by Boston native Terri Lyne Carrington entitled "TLC and Friends" from CEI Records #CSRV 2705. Beautiful near mint vinyl and jacket visually graded using Goldmine standards. This copy was signed neatly on the back in pen by Terri. Features musicians Terri on drums, Kenny Barron on Piano, Buster Williams on Bass, George Coleman and Sonny Carrington on Saxophone. Extremely hard to find so don't miss out!! Low starting bid and no reserve! Please see my other auction for more hard to find records. Will be shipped in sturdy record mailer with LP outiside the jacket in protective sleeve.

Terri Lyne Carrington (born August 4, 1965) is a Grammy Award-winning jazz drummer, composer, record producer and entrepreneur. She has played with Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Clark Terry, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Joe Sample, Al Jarreau, Yellowjackets, and many others. She toured with each of Hancock's musical configurations (from electric to acoustic) between 1997 and 2007.

In 2007 she was appointed professor at her alma mater, Berklee College of Music, where she received an honorary doctorate in 2003.

Carrington also serves as Artistic Director of the Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival.
