Description
This promotional record is a "preview" of The-Beatles-Single-That-Never-Was. It is listed on page 125 of Perry Cox's 1999 Official Price Guide To The Beatles Records and Memorabilia. There was supposed to be a Beatles single in 1977, "Girl", with the B-side being "You're Gonna Lose That Girl", both taken from the Love Songs album. The single was never issued commercially, though a picture sleeve was manufactured for its projected release. That picture sleeve is also included here. Copies of this black vinyl record were sent to radio stations as a promotional single in October 1977. All other colored vinyl copies are counterfeit. Both sides have the song, "Girl", though one side is mono and the other stereo. This copy is a flat Near-Mint on both sides, with the appearance of never having been played. The labels are perfect. The sleeve is also NM. Both are from my personal collection. I built a large Beatles collection over a period of 14 years and have recently started selling some of the better and harder-to-find pieces. These are two of them. E mail me for insurance costs and with any other questions. Thanks for looking.
