Description
Rare 1959 ANSWER / PARODY of the Dodie Stevens hit "PINK SHOELACES" 7" dj copy 45rpm on TIME Records ( # 1017 ) by THE BELL NOTES ( doo-wop quintet from Long Island, NY - Carl Bonura, Ray Ceroni, Lenny Giamblavo, Peter Kane and John Casey ) . Record is in nice VG condition ( rec / slv ) Looks and plays pretty clean, with just minimal scuffs - comes in plain brown kraft paper sleeve - no writing on labels, either side.
A NICE TWO-SIDED ROCKER - WITH THE ANSWER SIDE BEING THE COOLEST!

side a: "WHITE BUCKSKIN SNEAKERS AND CHECKERBOARD SOCKS" - great answer, even mentions "Pink Shoelaces" in the lyrics... but the title suggests it was also parodying "White Bucks and Saddle Shoes" by Bobby Pedrick, Jr.
side b: "NO DICE" - not a parody but a good rocker with the sound effects of rolling dice!
