Vintage 1927 Okeh Electric 45160 Simmons Sacred Singers 78 RPM Gospel Shellac
Up for auction or buy-it-now is a highly collectible piece of early American gospel and old-time country history: an original 1927 Okeh "Electric" 78 RPM shellac single by the Simmons Sacred Singers. This record features two incredibly moving period performances: "Bloom Brightly, Sweet Roses" on Side A and the iconic old-time hymn "Death Is Only A Dream" on Side B.
Both tracks were recorded during Okeh's famous field recording sessions in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in the fall of 1927. A rare find for collectors of early traditional gospel, pre-war country, and roots music.

## Condition Report
Shellac Condition: Very Good + (VG+)
The shellac retains a healthy original luster across both sides. The playing surface shows typical, light age-appropriate storage scuffs, hairline paper marks, and minor dust, but no deep feelable gouges, cracks, or edge chips. It is a solid, clean example of a pre-war 78.
