Description
My absolute favorite country show is unfortunately one of the rarest. It is called The Ralph Emery Show and was one of the most popular shows syndicated on radio ever. Every day from Nashville, Ralph hosted the show. One of the special parts of this show is that he had one group co host the show with him for the entire week. It made for some great radio that has never been equaled. These shows show up rarely on ebay and I am offering my last few shows this week. The show comes on FIVE STEREO LP's in virgin vinyl condition along with their cue sheets in good condition considering they are 27 years old! AND, I will ship them to you in the original box that they were shipped to the radio stations in. You will never get a more special, unique opportunity to own these rare shows. This week's edition of shows were show 5225-5229 and aired the week of December 24, 1984. THERE WAS NO SPECIAL CO HOST THIS WEEK BECAUSE IT IS THE END OF YEAR SPECIAL!!!! Here are the songs in this FIVE HOUR EXTRAVAGANGA. REMEMBER, YOU ARE GETTING FIVE HOURS WORTH OF SHOWS FOR ONE LOW PRICE! Going Going Gone and God Bless The USA - Lee Greenwood, Right Or Wrong - George Strait, Where's The Dress - Moe and Joe, We Didn't See a Thing - George Jones and Ray Charles, Let Somebody Else Drive - John Anderson, Watching Scoty Grow - Mac Davis, That's The Way Love Goes - Merle Haggard, Woke Up In Love - Exile, Make My Day - TG Sheppard and Clint Eastwood, Elizabeth - Statler Brothers, Happy birthday Dear Heartache - Barbara Mandrell, Yellow Rose - Johnny Lee and Lane Brody, I Got Mexico - Eddie Raven, Let's Stop Talking About It - Janie Fricke, Chicken in Black - Johnny Cash, Will It Be Love By Morning -Michael Martin Murphy, Stay Young - Don Williams, New Patches - Mel Tillis, I Can Tell By The Way You Dance - Vern Gosdin, Roll On 18 Wheeler and When We Make Love - Alabama, Houston - Larry Gatlin, Boys Like You - Gail Davies, Every Heart Should Have One - Charley Pride, I Got a Million Of Em - Ronnie McDowell, To All The Girls I've Loved Before - Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesis, Sounds of Goodbye - Crystal Gayle, Born To Love You - Karen Brooks, Uncle Pen - Ricky Skaggs, Mama He's Crazy - Judds, tennessee Homesick Blues - Dolly Parton, Prisoner of the Highway - Ronnie Milsap, Pins and Needles 0 Whites, Attitude Adjustment - Hank Williams Jr. She's My Rock - George Jones, I've Been Around Enough To Know - John Schneider, Angel In Disguise -ETC, Let's Chase Each Other Around The Room - Merle Haggard, Goodbye Heartache - Louise Mandrell, He broke Your Memory Last night - Reba McEntire, Somebody's Needing Somebody - Conway Twitty, On The Wings of a nightingale - Everly Brothers, A Little Good News - Anne Murray, Driving My Wife Away - Pinkard and Bowden, Wind Beneath My Wings - Gary Morris, PS I Love You - Tom T Hall, Why Goodbye - Steve Wariner, City of New Orleans - Willie Nelson, and Tribute - Ernest Tubb. WOW!!! What a great show!!! Remember, when you buy this show, not only will you own the tunes but also interspersed between songs is fascinating commentary on the artists and songs. Also, keep in mind that this and all radio shows are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere. It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining. As well, it is a piece of radio history and Americana. You just aren't going to find these shows anymore. Think of what they will be worth in a few years! (IF you wanted to sell.) I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price; in fact, believe it or not, I paid a lot more than you will because I tried to get the entire collection of this syndicated show. I almost made it but then the sources dried up. The dj from whom I bought the ones I had left the station, and subsequent ones I bought were hit or miss in terms of what I had or did not have. I finally gave up. I am saving those shows I treasure the most and sharing the rest with you for very reasonable prices. Those I do not sell, I will just keep! Most people even enjoy the national commercials that are included on the show. Included on this show are Time Life, Jimmy Dean, Fan Club, and more. Some people buy the shows for the commercials they collect! Either way, it is a great show and would be a valuable addition to your collection. As always, I charge only shipping on the first show you buy for U.S. buyers and discount the shipping for my international friends, so the more you buy the more money you will save. Good Luck and God Bless You.
