Hello Again, friends of great music!
This show, for all you vinyl lovers, and there are a bunch out there judging by the number of you that have responded to my rare and old vinyl radio shows, is a rare vinyl that you will not find on eBay ever.
It is called COUNTRY MUSIC OF THE 80'S and aired on the CREATIVE RADIO NETWORKS. It is a ONE OF A KIND SPECIAL COMMEMORATING THE 1980'S IN COUNTRY MUSIC.
It is a 24 hour special that stations could use over 24 weeks, an hour a week or as a 24 hour holiday special such as over the 4th of July or Memorial or Labor Day holidays.
THIS SPECIAL HAD NEVER BEEN PLAYED.
You will receive all 24 lp's, PLAYED ONE TIME IN MINT NEW CONDITION + A COMPLETE CD SET OF THE 24 HOUR SHOW, along with the cue sheets in excellent new condition. For those of you who collect radio shows, this show was somewhat different from most. It was sold directly to stations. It was not sent on what is called a 'barter' arrangement where the station gets the show and must air it at a certain time with the national commercials included on the show itself. This was meant for stations to use when they wanted and there is NO national advertising on any of the lp's. Stations were to sell their own advertising for the show as they saw fit.
Each hour of the program has breaks for stations to insert these commercials, usually after every two or three songs. So you get 24 lp's, each designed for an hour's play and each containing approximately 13 songs, dj information, interviews, and the best country music of the 1980's and throughout the whole contemporary country generation.
In addition, it was not just music played randomly, each program segment has its own theme so the music is all arranged in great themes that tie them together. It is an amazing show.
