Radio Birdman 1st Press OZ LP Radios appear VG+ '77 Trafalgar TRL1001 Punk
Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1977 on Trafalgar Records. Cat: TRL1001. Comes with insert which has some age marks and water mark along top edge and is in VG+ condition.
Landmark debut album from Australia's Radio Birdman. Radios Appear was Radio Birdman's first full length album. Recorded piecemeal over 1976 and early 1977, on weekends and nights when their home base (Trafalgar Studios Sydney) had no paying customers, it was finally released on the Trafalgar label, created specifically to release their records. In addition to mail order, the album was literally distributed by hand and out of the back of cars, thus writing the Australian handbook on DIY independent music. It was hailed as a breakthrough album in Australian music, a turning point after the scene's early and mid seventies stagnation. Radios Appear was given a 5 star review in Rolling Stone, and the album gave the band a needed boost to depart Sydney as a national touring entity, while still maintaining their renegade status.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and a few very light scratches that cause some light crackles in parts most noticeable at start of sides and between tracks and is in VG+ condition. Cover has a few small crease marks along spine, minor scuffing on right hand corners, a few small surface tears around edges and two small light crease mark on front bottom right corner and is in VG++ condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
