JONI MITCHELL Lennie and Dom Songs (Early On) / Recorded Live in Concert
This rare album has had one owner since acquisition. It was played, but mostly stored; I'm not in a position to play it now. Phonygraf Label, early 1970s. White cover, greenish Print on artwork showing a brick house and a picture of Joni on cover. The labels on the actual vinyl don't list the songs.
Half of original shrink wrap remains; the whole item is in a protective mylar sleeve. Record looks in good condition but I'm not in a position to play it.
A reviewer wrote of this album:
"Early Joni Mitchell bootlegs are pretty thin on the ground . . . this one was recorded live around 1970. It's not remarkably different from her studio takes, except that all of the songs are performed solo, on guitar and piano. A good cross-section of material from her early LPs, including "Chelsea Morning," "Marcie," "Night in the City," and "Both Sides Now." Almost an hour in length, too, neat bonuses including a cover of "Get Together," and what sounds like a studio version of "Urge for Going," probably her best-loved song that was not included, for whatever reason, on her first albums."
The amazing songs are:
- A1 Chelsea Morning 2:47 A2 Cactus Tree 4:41 A3 Night In The City 2:18 A4 Marcie/ Nathan La Franeer 7:47 A5 Rainy Nighthouse/ Blue Boy 6:11 B1 For Free 4:07 B2 Get Together 3:40 B3 The Fiddle And The Drum 2:22 B4 I Think I Understand 3:54 B5 Both Sides, Now 3:55 + URGE FOR GOING is listed on the cover but no time stated
