I had a hard time trying to figure a category for any of Ry Cooder's music. He has been a true musical chameleon for decades. This promo only LP was released in conjunction with his second solo album Boomer's Story. Half of the record has selected songs from that album on side 2. they are Boomer's Story, Dark End of The Street, Maria Elena, Cherry Ball Blues, and Ax Sweet Mama. Side1 is the real prize here. Recorded live at the Main Point in Pa. and Ardent studios in Memphis before a live audience is Police Dog Blues, Cleaning Up At Home/Liquor Store, President Kennedy, Diddy Wah Diddy, Holy Spirit, and Jesus is on The Mainline. It is W.B. PRO558 a white label. Record is M-, cover has very light ring wear with a 3" seam split on the upper left spine. The cover is white with the sticker taped to the front cover. Please note this is not a bootleg. It is a legit release. A great package and rare........
