RUTH COPELAND - I AM WHAT I AM. A simply stunning LP.

SPAIN original 1st pressing 12" LP on the INVICTUS label.

(1972).  (Stereo).

EX to EX+ disc. A couple of light hairlines. Front laminated sleeve grades EX to EX+.

Some age darkening to the rear of the sleeve. Mild surface wear but all is there.

Plays through exceptionally well.  A rare one as a Spanish copy with front laminated sleeve.

Very few of these surface - particularly as nice as this one.

This album never got a UK press. Most seen are USA copies. Only occasionally one of these Spanish originals crops up.

Band is made up of primary members of early Funkadelic and Osmium-era Parliament. Definitely one for the P-Funk collectors and completists.  Probably the best version of 'Play With Fire'. Scorching vocals and some amazing fuzz guitar from Eddie Hazel.
