For all RUSH fans, who have been waiting for the re-release of the 4 albums released on Atlantic records from 1989 to 1996
Those who collect RUSH vinyl, will be more than aware these 4 albums are highly sort after by collectors and fans alike, but due to limited pressings on original release and for the remastered release in 2015, are now only available at high prices.
Presto is not so bad and you’ll pick a copy up from £25-£50, Roll The Bones usually around £100, Counterparts around £200 and Test For Each (which never had a vinyl release in 1996) around £250. Go on Discogs and check the prices.
I’ve included a screen shot of a recent eBay listing for all 4 individual LP’s. Just add up the totals!!
This box set gives re-releases of all 4 albums, based on the 2015 remasters and packaging with the addition of a slip cover box and large postcards with new graphics.
According to suppliers this is limited to 3000 copies, and at the time of writing hasn’t appeared on amazon, HMV or and other UK suppliers. Seems it’s US & Canada for this one. It’s sold out at the RUSH Backstage Club at the time of writing.
This set is in the UK and ready to ship. It is unopened. I ordered a copy for myself and one for a friend, who has now changed their mind.
So, you’ll get it shipped from the UK and insured. No import tax or high shipping costs from the USA.
It comes in a branded RUSH shipping box that has had postage labels on but these have been removed.
It will be double boxed.
THE ALBUMS: 1989-1996 covers the first four albums that Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart recorded for Atlantic Records before their hiatus in 1997. Each album includes a print of reimagined cover artwork and is housed in a slipcase featuring new artwork by long-time Rush art director, Hugh Syme, who has created all of Rush's album cover art since 1975.
PRESTO is Rush's thirteenth studio album and their first with Atlantic Records. The gold-certified record reached No. 16 on the Billboard, marking a more guitar-centric sound for the band. After a brief hiatus, the band emerged with the commercial and critical success,
ROLL THE BONES. Peaking at No. 3 in the U.S., No. 10 in the U.K. and No. 11 in Canada, with the title track reaching No. 9 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
COUNTERPARTS followed with continued success, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 - one of the band's highest-charting albums. The record was certified platinum and received a 1994 GRAMMY Award nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance for their track Leave That Thing Alone.
TEST FOR ECHO reaching No. 5 on the Billboard chart and the title track taking the No. 1 spot on the Mainstream Rock Track chart.
