Up for auction is a copy of the FIRST PRESSING – RUSH FIRST LP ON MOON RECORDS (MN 100). This hard-to-find album is in good playing condition. The record jacket is not in as nice shape. It shows signs of ring wear on the front as well as some litho removal and there is some edge wear, especially along the bottom seam (there is about a one inch split on the bottom seam at the right end). There are also dirt spots on the back plus ring wear. There is some minor chipping to the litho around the jacket’s edges. Photos should provide clear viewing of the jacket’s condition. The record’s condition is better than the jacket. While there are some marks on the vinyl, it plays well throughout with only light surface noise (more pronounced on the record’s quieter moments).

Written in the record’s groove’s are: on Side A: MN - 100 - A – on Side B: MN - 100 - B.

Despite the jacket imperfections, I’m sure this authentic original Rush record will be a nice addition to your collection. Note – if you’re looking for a perfect copy of this record, this one is not for you. It’s good – but NOT great! I’d call it a 6.5 – 7.0 out of 10. That being said, it is quite listenable and will likely sound even better if properly cleaned. I have not cleaned it since first purchasing it.

About the LP’s origin:

Rush is the eponymous debut studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in 1974. The band and their management formed their own company, Moon Records, and released the album in Canada (initially). Only 3,500 copies of the original Moon Records LP (catalog number MN-100) were pressed.
