RUNNING IN MAZES 1980 UK V/A - MINIMAL SYNTH /POWER POP

This is a very rare (the only copy I have had for sale in 29 years !!!) and one of the most obscure in my opinion UK POWER POP / MINIMAL SYNTH / NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL / PUNK compilation entitled RUNNING IN MAZES from... 1980, this is the ORIGINAL pressing and the first time I have seen this compilation for sale. AN ORIGINAL, AND A MUST !!!.
The album came on the private CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE records, catalogue number CITS 001, and this album features many bands that never got to release any other products apart from the tracks on this compilation, and hence the only chance to get them will be this compilation, and believe me some of them are better then many of the single releases, or many other released singles, THESE TRACKS SHOULD BE COMPED on some of the MINIMAL SYNTH / POWERPEARLS type compilations.

WILLIE GARDNER - AUTOCART.  - Great Power Pop with Synth.
LIBERTY BODICE - DADDY & MUMMY. - Good Power pop.
SCIENCE - WIPE OUT.  -  Great MINIMAL SYNTH sound, perfect for collector sounds like KRAFTWERK.
THE NO ENTRY BAND - F.C. YEARS.  - New Wave sound
THE MINUTES - LINDS (USED TO BE A MAN). - Good NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL sound with POWER POP cross over.
THE GUINEA PIGS - PYLONS. - DIY Post Punk sound.

SIDE TWO:

THE TITLES - DOCTOR DOCTOR. - Power Pop sound.
THE CUBAN HEELS - MODERN GIRL. - Power Pop sound, this band also released a few great single.
THE HOLLOW MEN - MICROSCOPE. - Great Punk Power pop cross over sound.
ROOT 2 - PEGGY. - Reggae sound
ROOT 2 - THROUGH THE WINDOW. - Reggae Sound
ZOOM LENS - RUNNING IN MAZES. - Great SYNTH SOUND, this band also released a couple of rare MINIMAL SYNTH singles.

The compilation came out on the private CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE RECORDS catalogue number CITS 001 , a rare find and an ORIGINAL pressing !!!

The album is signed on the back cover by one of the members of THE GUINEA PIGS.

This album also comes in as NEAR MINT condition, and the VINYL is EX++ (played once by me, was unplayed before !!!), PICTURE SLEEVE is EX/EX+ (only because of very minot corner bends, and signature on the back), also there is the rare sticker on the front saying that this is a SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION COMPILATION !!!
