"THE RUDY VALLEE SHOW" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC. ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC. THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO RADIO STATIONS FOR AUDITION PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. VERY RARE!
"The Rudy Vallee Show" audition radio program. This disc was issued to radio stations to promote the radio program. The program stars Rudy Vallee as host who talks Hollywood and the recording business while playing a few records and an interview with a guest, for this show the guest interview was of Jose Ferrer. Vallee talks about Will Rogers, Richard Rodgers & how he was paid $6,000 for a 15 minute performance at the Hotel Shoreham in Washington, D. C.
Program includes instructions by the announcer on how a radio production manager would broadcast the show & the handling of the commercials
The disc label reads "This is a special audition recording and not to be broadcast"
Judging from the material discussed on the show I'm guessing it was produced in 1950
Disc is in Excellent- Condition with Excellent sound, Beautiful Disc!
