Bill Evans is well known for beautiful harmonies and lyrical improvisation, one of the most influential pianists of his time. These final performances of Bill Evans, recorded at Keystone Korner San Francisco in Aug 31 ~ Sep 7th, 1980, just before he died. This Vol.1 includes “Someday My Prince Will Come” and his composition “Re:Person I Knew” and all of his favorite songs.

Exclusive to Record Store Day Japan 2024. Part of a trio of releases, two of which reissue live recordings from his performances in San Francisco at Keystone Korner (this album and Consecration II), and one additional album, Consecration Immortal, which releases previously unreleased recordings taken from those same live dates.

Recorded live at Keystone Korner in San Francisco between 31 August 1980 and 7 September 1980.
